| 1961 Cadillac Models If you are uncertain of your Cadillac model, you can use your VIN # or Body Name Plate to figure out exactly which model you have. See instructions below table.
The "Body Name Plate" is attached to the top surface of the left air duct cover, under the hood, near the cowl. The name plate carries the 6 digit style number. The first 2 digits represent the year, "61." The last 4 digits indicate the vehicle style. Use this style number along with the table above to identify your model. The VIN (vehicle identification number) is a 9 digit number that can be found several places on 61 Cadillac's.
