More About Flat Rubber Sheets

We offer a variety of sheet material to help with any project. The possibilities are endless - these can be cut to any shape to make gaskets, fillers, mounting pads and more. Most of our sheet rubber materials are sold by the square foot and samples are available.

Rubber-cork offers good acid and weather resistance and has good thermal and sound insulating properties. It is also abrasion and pressure resistant. Additionally this is a match to the material used by American auto manufacturers in the 1930's-1950's for many types of gaskets.  Rubber-cork was commonly used for lens / lighting gaskets and some engine and mechanical gaskets.

Sponge rubber products are used for cushioning, shock absorption, vibration dampening, weather stripping, and soundproofing. Sponge rubber is also used in thermal insulation, filters, and custom gaskets that need to meet various standards and approvals.  Sponge rubber is commonly used for mounting pads, fillers & lens / lighting gaskets.

Neoprene offers strong resistance to physical failures like cuts and is resistant to damage caused by abrasion, flexing and twisting. It also does not degrade in the presence of sun, ozone or weather and features excellent adhesion to fabrics and metals.  Neoprene is commonly used for mounting pads for emblems, badges and more.

Masticated rubber has synthetic fiber cords, the material has high compressive strength, resistance to wear and tear, durability, and resistance to ozone and weathering. This last property makes products made from masticated rubber a good choice for outdoor uses where exposure to the elements is a problem. Additionally our 3/32" thick masticated rubber is identical to the material used on American vehicles from the 1930's - 1990's for radiator fillers, dust shields and more.
